The Body Coach

Brigitte Dumolijn, business manager of Body Coach, has been a fervent advocate of vibration training for years. After three or four months her regular sessions led to remarkable strengthening of the muscles, and she enjoyed many positive reactions from those around her.

These good results prompted her to learn more about this new, revolutionary form of training. And thus, an idea was born. Together with her husband, Guido Dumarey – CEO of Punch International, an industrial group listed on the Brussels Exchange – she decided to develop a vibration plate that would meet the strictest quality requirements, would have a complete set of adjustments and would at the same time be affordable.

Thus vibration training would be placed within the easy reach of wellness centres, physical therapy practices, fitness centres, and individuals who prefer to exercise at home.

More than a year was invested in the design process, drawing up the plans, comprehensive development and finishing off the new apparatus.

In addition to a team of top engineers, specialists from the medical and the sports world were also responsible for this research & development phase. The factory in Slovakia where the Body Coach is now manufactured has about 2200 employees.
